10 Jay Street is a 250,000 sqft building located directly on the east river in DUMBO. 10 Jay was built in 1890 by the Arbuckle Brothers Cofee Company and was used to refine sugar for their coffee. The building was closed in 1920 and was later reopened as a winery. Joseph Stavrach purchased the property in 1991 as an owners own use but received many inquiries for renting space within the building. He, along with his brothers, renovated floor by floor and officially opened the building to the public for leasing in 1994. 10 Jay has been 100% occupied throughout its ownership with Triangle until 2014 when we vactaed the building to convert it to a Class A office building.
The new 10 Jay will have 3 sides of restored 1890's red brick, brick columns, original terracotta barrel vaulted ceilings, 4 brand new high speed elevators, a brand new Class A lobby with a 24/7 doorman, bicycle storage, a floor to ceiling glass facade facing the Brooklyn, Manhattan & Williamsburg Birdges, East River and NYC skyline.
